Girl murdered after rape

GUJRANWALA: A 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped and killed on Monday at Mehlool village.

Police said class-VIII student ‘A’ was alone in the house when some suspect(s) came, killed her after rape and hung her body in the washroom.

Eimanabad police have shifted the body to tehsil headquarters hospital for postmortem.

Police have taken into custody a youth ‘M’ on suspicion.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Bazdar has taken notice of the incident and sought a report from the Gujranwala regional police officer.
