SWABI: An old enmity here claimed two lives, while unidentified assailants shot dead a man in separate incidents on Friday, the police said.

SHO Yar Hussain Abdul Wali Khan said rivals shot dead Shahid Khan and Habibul Rehman inside their hujra (common guest house) in Sard Chenna village of Razaar.

He said Shahid died on the spot, and Habib succumbed to injureies in hospital.

The cause of the incident was stated to be an old enmity.

SHO Wali Khan said an FIR had been registered against suspects, namely Majid Khan and Kamran Khan.

Meanwhile, unknown motorcyclists opened fire on Gulzar Ali in Tordher village, killing him on the spot.

Taj Muhammad, a brother of the deceased, told the police that they had no enmity with anyone.

The Tordher police registered an FIR and started investigation.

Also in the day, four people, including two women, were injured when a car met an accident near Gajju Khan Tomb on Shahmansoor Road.

The injured were taken to Bacha Khan Hospital Complex, Shahmansoor. The cause of the incident was over-speeding.

In a similar development, two persons were injured when a motorcycle hit them while crossing a road in Marghuz area.

TWO WITH CHARAS HELD: The Chota Lahor police arrested two smugglers and recovered seven kilogrammes of charas from them on Friday.

SHO Jawad Khan identified the drug traffickers as Kamal Shah, a resident of Bando Oboo, and Shakil Khan of Mian Kallay.

He said the men wanted to smuggle the contraband to local distributors.

An FIR was registered against them.

Meanwhile, SHO Kalu Khan Ajab Durrani said the police had arrested two proclaimed offenders and recovered a Kalashnikov, two pistols and dozens of rounds from them.

The outlaws were wanted in several cases. The police also arrested facilitators of the arrested outlaws.
