Smell like French fries!

The Idaho Potato Commission announced it is celebrating the state’s signature crop with a limited-edition product: potato perfume.

The IPC said the fragrance, Frites by Idaho, is made from distilled Idaho potatoes and essential oils, designed to smell like a fresh plate of French fries.

“This perfume is a great gift for anyone who can’t refuse a French fry,” IPC Presi-dent and CEO Jamey Higham said in a news release.

The commission said the $1.89 bottles of the fragrance sold out quickly on the IPC website, but social media users can still enter an Instagram contest to win free bottles.

Record breaking 25-hour, 35-minute radio interview

A pair of Ohio radio DJs broke a Guinness World Record when they conducted a 25-hour, 35-minute interview on the air.

Zachary Sinutko, executive producer of the 808s and Mixtapes show on John Carroll University’s WJCU-FM, and Collin Kennedy, the show’s co-producer, interviewed one another live on air, and the show was simultaneously streamed live on Instagram and Twitch.

The DJs’ on-air conversation lasted for 25 hours and 35 minutes, earning them the Guinness record for longest consecutive radio interview.

Motorcycle tire removed from crocodile’s neck

A 13-foot crocodile that had a motorcycle tire stuck around its neck for six years in Indonesia was finally freed, thanks to the efforts of a local resident.

The crocodile, living in the Palu River, in the Sulawesi Island area, was first seen with the tire stuck around its neck in 2016, and repeated efforts to capture and free the reptile failed.

A Sragen resident named Tili, 34, attempted to capture the crocodile by using ropes and some chicken as bait. The crocodile escaped from him two times before finally ensnared.

A video from the scene shows Tili and a large group of local residents restraining the crocodile while cutting the tire from around its neck. Tili wanted to help the crocodile because he felt sorry for the animal’s plight.
