Musharraf unveils hostel’s plaque

LAHORE, Nov 28: President Pervez Musharraf on Monday unveiled plaque of a hostel for the poor and destitute children being built by the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau. The president did so during a visit to the chief minister’s office on The Mall. He also inspected the Rescue Service 1122 and inquired about its working.

He also had a meeting with Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi and discussed with him matters of political and national importance. The president was briefed on the adopt-a-family, rehabilitation of destitute children, financial and management reforms and police patrol.

The chief minister claimed that 25 departments were being reformed according to the vision of the president, and all resources had been mobilized for the purpose.

He said the new set-up of police patrol would change ‘thana culture’.
