RAWALPINDI: Police on Tuesday arrested the suspected murderer of a milkman who was shot dead during a robbery in the Ratta Amral area on Monday.

Ghulam Abbas, 43, was gunned down by an unidentified man during a robbery on Sunday.

City Police Officer (CPO) Omer Saeed Malik along with forensic experts and other senior police officers reached the crime scene and assured the victim’s family that the killer would be arrested soon.

CPO Mailk on Tuesday said the suspect involved in the milkman’s murder had been apprehended by the police team constituted to investigate the case.

He said the murder weapon had also been recovered from the suspect who confessed to having killed the milkman.

He further said the suspect was sent to jail for identification parade.
