LAHORE: PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said on Friday during the visit of Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Asif Ali Zardari and Shehbaz Sharif to his residence all kinds of issues were discussed, including some 20-25 years old events.

A detailed discussion was held about Nawaz Sharif also and some suggestions were considered but it would be premature to mention these at this point of time, he said in a statement.

Mr Shujaat said there was a heightened ‘political atmosphere’ in the country, especially in Lahore, and the leaders of all parties were talking differently and stating their positions.

“If we remain busy only in political meetings, the poor will stop trusting politicians.”

The PML-Q president stressed that the issues of the masses should be paid heed to and the economic situation should be given the utmost importance.

“I say with great confidence that if the economic situation is not rectified and the problem of unemployment is not solved, the politics of all politicians will end,” he warned.
