LAHORE: The Jamaat-e-Islami has contacted the PML-Q leadership and plans to visit the Lahore residence of Chaudhrys of Gujrat to inquire after the party president Shujaat Hussain.

As per party sources, the JI’s five-member delegation led by Emir Sirajul Haq will visit the Chaudhrys around 1.30pm on Monday (today). Other members of the JI delegation may include Amirul Azeem, Liaquat Baloch, Qaiser Sharif and Dr Farid Piracha, they say.

Since the opposition has stepped up its campaign for bringing a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan, leaders including Shehbaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman had called on the Chaudhrys last week.
