MANSEHRA: Three people, two of them women, were killed and eight others injured when a jeep plunged into a ravine in Judbah area of Torghar district on Tuesday.

“Three people were killed instantly and eight others were injured critically in the accident. Locals shifted the injured to the Civil Hospital, Judbah,” district police officer Mukhtar Shah told reporters. “Later, they were referred to Ayub Medical Complex Hospital, Abbottabad.”

He said the jeep was on way to Nusratkhel area.

The deceased were identified as Attaullah, Laiba Bibi and Sama Bibi.

Meanwhile, the police on Tuesday arrested two suspected killers of a taxi driver, whose body was recovered from a forest in Gadda Galli area of Mungloor two days ago.

“The arrested persons have confessed to the crime, stating they killed the taxi driver as he had illicit relations with the wife of one of them,” district police officer Sajjad Khan said.
