LAHORE: The Kot Lakhpat police on Wednesday lodged a murder case against a woman for allegedly killing her young daughter for ‘honour’.

The police said the 17-year-old Laiba died in a local hospital allegedly from poisoning.

The deceased girl’s father alleged that his wife had spiked water with poison and gave it to Laiba to drink in a bid to kill her over having relations with a young man of the area.

He told the police that his wife Saira had been admonishing Laiba for having relations with the young man.

However, he said, as the girl continued the relationship, Saira planned to kill her when he was out for a work.
