ISLAMABAD: A private hospital in the federal capital has been awarded the ISO 9001:2005 certificate by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), United Kingdom.

The certificate has been awarded to the Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital (ANTH) which has the capacity to accommodate500 beds.

The certificate is awarded based on a quality paradigm centered around excellence in service delivery, patient and staff safety measures, effective leadership and standardisation in organisational processes, as well as continuous and steady improvements in overall management.
