SWABI: Three persons were killed in separate incidents here on Monday, the police and rescue officials said.

Luqman Khan, a rescue official, said Hanif Mohammad, 24, was killed when a marble-cutting belt broke and struck him.

The body was shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for autopsy. The deceased belonged to Razaar.

His coworkers demanded compensation for the family of the deceased.

In the second incident, a man belonging to Gadoon Amazai was killed when a speeding rickshaw hit him while crossing a road in Batakara area.

The deceased was identified as Arshad Khan hailing from Diwal village. His body was shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for autopsy.

The Topi police registered FIR against the rickshaw driver.

Unidentified gunmen killed Izhar Khan while he was returning after attending court proceedings in Chota Lahor.

SHO Chota Lahor said the cause of the killing was not known.
