RAWALPINDI: After submission of a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan in the National Assembly by opposition parties, PTI workers on Thursday brought out a rally in favour of their leader while violating directives that clearly suggested against doing so.

According to a notification issued by PTI District and City Presidents Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi and Raja Rashid Haffeez, no worker would bring out a rally and protest demonstration till the party officially made any announcement in this regard.

However, more than 200 workers and supporters led by Zaid Khaliq Kiani, Raja Mohammad Ali and Ajmal Sabir Raza brought out out a rally from two places: Muslim Town and Chur Chowk to PTI’s Public Secretariat at Sarwar Road.

Speaking on the occasion, the speakers said that they would not leave the prime minister alone and refused to accept the ban imposed on workers.

They said that workers and supporters were united for the party’s chairman and would support him, adding it was a difficult time and the opposition united to save themselves from corruption cases.
