OKARA: A labourer was buried alive under the heap of sand at Batak village near Basirpur on Sunday.

Mazhar Ali was trapped under a heap of sand while digging at the village. Rescue 1122 recovered Mazhar’s body from the site.

SHOT DEAD: A man was shot dead outside his house at 5A/ 4L village on Saturday night.

The family complained that four unidentified men shot at Ashfaq when he opened the main door and went outside. Ashfaq succumbed to the injuries while being shifted to hospital.

The Saddar police registered a case under sections 302,148 and 149 of the PPC against unidentified people.
