RAWALPINDI: An 11-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Westridge area.

Police registered a case against the suspect on the complaint of the victim’s mother and arrested him.

According to the first information report (FIR), the victim used to collect garbage with other girls and later sold it. The victim’s mother, on Saturday, asked her to go do her job but she flatly refused to and began to sob.

Later, she informed her mother that she was collecting garbage in the street when she was taken into a store by a person who raped her and then threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident.

The victim’s mother took her daughter to the scene of the crime where she identified him. Police arrested the suspect.
