TAXILA: Two persons were sexually assaulted in different incidents in Attock on Tuesday.

In the first incident, an eight-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a teacher in a seminary in Golra village, located in the jurisdiction of Attock police station.

The victim’s mother told police that her daughter’s Quran teacher took her into his residential quarter and assaulted her.

In the second incident, a 16-year-old labourer was assaulted by a man in the jurisdiction of Pindigheb police station.

The victim informed police that he worked as a daily wager. On Tuesday, a man took him to his house on the pretext of some work where he sexually assaulted him at gun point.

When contacted, spokesperson for the police said medical examination of both the victims established that they were subjected to the sexual assault. The suspects have been arrested.

Boy electrocuted

A boy was electrocuted while he was trying to catch a kite in the jurisdiction of Hazro police station.

Husnain, 12, resident of Pathan Colony was flying a kite on the roof of his house. While trying to catch another kite, he came into contact with a high voltage electric wire and died on the spot.

Man killed in road accident

In the second incident, an 18-year-old motorcyclist identified as Asmat Khan was killed and his companion was injured when a police pickup crashed into their vehicle in the jurisdiction of Attock city police station.

An FIR was registered against constable Saifullah, the driver of the police vehicle.
