GUJAR KHAN: Dina police on Wednesday arrested a man who had allegedly shot his wife dead.

According to police, the suspect shot his wife, Asima Batool, on Monday and escaped.

A case was registered under section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) after conducting medico-legal procedure of the victim. An investigation team was constituted under the supervision of SP Investigations Dr Anum Faryal to arrest the suspect.

According to police spokesperson, SI Ahsan Butt, the suspect confessed to having committed the crime over a domestic dispute.

The suspect had also attempted to kill his children and commit suicide.
