SWABI: Three members of a family, including two women, were killed and three others injured when a speeding passenger coach hit a truck at the Karnal Sher Khan Interchange on the Islamabad Peshawar Motorway here on Friday, rescue officials said.
They said the coach was on way to Peshawar.
Luqman Khan, an official of Rescue 1122, told Dawn that bodies were so badly mutilated that they could be identified.
The bodies and injured were shifted to the Mardan Medical Complex.
An official at the hospital said the victims hailed from Punjab, adding condition of all the three injured was critical.
Meanwhile, Waleed Ali, a resident of Topi city, was killed when two rickshaws collided on the Topi Bypass Road.
A man was killed by his neighbour in Gandaf village of Gadoon Amazai over a trivial issue. The deceased was identified as Saddam Hussein.
Meanwhile, unidentified persons shot dead one Riaz Khan in Jalsai village of Chota Lahor.
Family of the deceased said cause of the incident was not known. An FIR was registered against unknown persons in Chota Lahor police station.
