KARACHI: A field of nine horses will be up against each other in the Winner Cup which features prominently in a five-race card drawn for the Gymkhana race meeting being held here at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

The cup race, which is classified under scale order VII, is the fourth race in order and will go over four furlongs.

The third race, which is the feature event, will see a quartet of horses vying for honours. The race designed under scale order I and II will be contested over five furlongs.

The first race has seven starters while half-a-dozen horses are in contention in the second. Both the races will take place over four-and-a-half furlongs.

The fifth and last race has a strong field of 11 horses under lowest scale order VIII and will be run over four furlongs.

The first race starts at 3:00pm.
