TAXILA: Two teenage girls were abducted from various parts of the area on Sunday.
In the first incident, Wajahat Khan informed Taxila police that his 15-year-old daughter was present in her house when some people equipped with weapons entered and took her away, adding that when he resisted, the armed men opened fire at him however, he did not sustain any injuries.
Mr Khan stated in the first information report (FIR) that one of the suspects sent a marriage proposal to his house which he declined and this was the reason his daughter was abducted.
In the second incident, Samia Bibi told police that her 17-year-old daughter was going to the academy when three people abducted her. Respective police registered two separate cases and started further investigation.
Meanwhile, two members of a motorcycle snatching gang were arrested and 10 motorcycles were recovered from them.
Sub-Divisional Police Officer ASP Waqas Khan said a team of Wah Saddar police busted the gang and arrested two of its members. Police are searching for other members of the gang.
