Mahmood orders completion of prerequisites for housing project

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Wednesday directed the relevant authorities to complete prerequisites for New Peshawar Valley City project to start work on it.

A statement issued here said that the chief minister issued the directives while chairing a progress review meeting of the project. Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif, Additional Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, Local Government Secretary Mian Shakeel Ahmad, Capital City Police Officer Mohammad Ijaz Khan, Peshawar Commissioner Riaz Mehsud and director general of Peshawar Development Authority attended the meeting.

The meeting decided to issue intimation letters of developed plots to the landowners during the next week under land sharing formula.

The participants of the meeting were informed that work on feasibility study, planning and detailed design of the project was in progress and would be completed by May this year whereas preliminary zoning plan of the housing scheme was already prepared.

They were informed that acquisition of land under land sharing formula was in process and so far 286 application forms were issued to landowners for acquisition of land whereas the relevant deputy commissioners also completed verification of 6,571 kanals of land.
