ISLAMABAD: First Deputy Defence Minister and Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces of Kazakhstan Lt Gen Khuss­ainov Marat Rakhimovich on Tuesday called on Chief of the Air Staff of Pakistan Air Force Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu and comm­ended the professionalism of the PAF.

During the meeting, the two dignitaries discussed matters of professional and mutual interest, said a PAF media release. Lt Gen Rakhimovich also acknowledged the PAF’s rising indigenous capacity in the aviation industry.

The air chief said that Pakistan and Kazakhstan enjoyed longstanding religious, cultural and historical bonds.
