DADU: Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians’ central information secretary Shazia Atta Marri has said that Imran Khan is deviating from the constitution and that is why courts had to be opened at midnight.

Ms Marri, who is also member of National Assembly, said in a statement issued here on Thursday that the former prime minister would be responsible if Pakistanis were expelled from the USA and Europe.

She said that Shehbaz Sharif was elected prime minister of Pakistan democratically and with the power of vote. PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari challenged Imran Khan and ousted him from power, she said.

She said that Bilawal had warned Imran and asked him to resign as prime minister in a respectful and graceful manner before the vote of no confidence was cast against his government but he did not listen to his advice. In the buildup to the D-Day, Imran had even lost trust of all his allies, she said.

Ms Marri said that Imran had no courage to respond to Indian Prime Minister Modi and his claim that foreign powers were working against him was a foolish and false statement.

She said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leaders’ hatred of national institutions had come to the fore. It was the sole responsibility of Supreme Court to uphold the Constitution of Pakistan but Imran was deviating from the sacred document, she said.
