TOBA TEK SINGH: A wedding dancer was murdered and her adopted minor son was injured seriously when they were attacked at their house in Taj Colony at Faisalabad on Friday.

Complainant Muhammad Irfan said in the FIR registered by the Sargodha Road police under sections 302, 324,148 and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code that his wife Sehrish, 30, was at home when their opponent Rafaqat Ali, of Chak Bhaiwala, with whom they had litigation over the property for the last two years, forced his entry along with his four accomplices.

They opened indiscriminate fire at his wife Sehrish and when their adopted son Abdullah, 10, attempted to save her, they also fired at him, injuring him seriously.

Both the injured were rushed to the Allied Hospital where Sehrish succumbed to her injuries.

ACCIDENT: A motorcyclist died and his relative woman was injured critically when a truck hit them near Roundabout No 8 at Sahianwala Industrial Estate in Faisalabad on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Muhammad Hayat, 50, while the injured woman, shifted to the Allied Hospital, was identified as Zohra Bibi, 40.

Also, a man was wounded when he attempted to self immolate at Faisalabad’s Muhalla Allahabad, near the shrine of Baba Feroz Shah on Friday.

Rescue 1122 said the man identified as Wasim Manzoor, 40, was shifted to the Allied Hospital in a serious condition.

It is said he was an addict and over the non-availability of money to purchase narcotics, he sprayed petrol on his clothes and burnt himself.

BURNT: Gojra Assistant Commissioner Hassan Nazir suspended on Friday two revenue patwaris of Gojra for their alleged involvement in setting on fire their offices located in Gojra patwarkhana.

As a result, not only the revenue land record and documents of offices of both suspended patwaris Zafar Iqbal and Muhammad Azeem were burnt but the record of more than one dozen other villages also reduced to ashes in the offices of other patwaris due to the fire broke out in the Gojra patwarkhana.

The AC has appointed tehsildar Tariq Mahmood Gill as an inquiry officer to probe into the alleged involvement of both suspended patwaris in setting ablaze their offices.
