No one is perfect

This is regarding the article “No one is perfect”, by Soubia Ilyas (YW, March 26). We should not let ourselves down when the people around us are praising others; rather we should focus on bringing out our hidden talents.

Every child should be encouraged to do so. Parents should not compare one child with another, since every human being is created unique by God.

Someone has rightly said, “Don’t strive to be perfect, just give it a hundred percent.”

The article “No one is perfect” by Soubia llyas contained the lesson that we, as humans, are not perfect. We all have weaknesses and limitations. If you avoid people for their weaknesses, you will be left alone in the world.

So judge less and accept more as humans are prone to making all kinds of mistakes. All we can do is to learn from them and try not to repeat them.

Freedom is precious

This is with reference to the cover story, “Freedom is precious” by Benazir Raz (YW, March 19). I found the article very motivational, thought-provoking and an eye-opener. It emphasised how, as children of a new generation, we take freedom for granted. We don’t appreciate how much our forefathers have given up for this freedom that we are enjoying now without doing anything.

I used to constantly criticise Pakistan for a number of reasons, including lack of resources, poor law and order situation, corruption, etc., and felt that other countries are better than Pakistan.

However, this article made me realise the unimaginable sacrifices and unwavering efforts made by our forefathers for the sake of our freedom. We should be grateful for living in an independent and privileged country and make every effort to make it a peaceful place for everyone to live and prosper.

Freedom is a state of independence where one can do whatever one likes without any restrictions. However, when it comes to a country’s freedom, it’s the responsibility of the youth to understand the value of hardships that our forefathers have gone through in the past and this concept has been exquisitely explained by Benazir Raz in her article “Freedom is precious”.

If the young generation is moulded in a correct shape, they can create history. Thus, they are the future and represent the very best in the country.
