KOHAT: Twenty-two persons were injured in separate road accidents here on Monday.

Eighteen persons were injured when a passenger coach hit a roadside wall while saving a rashly-driven motorcycle on the OTS Road. The injured passengers of the coach were shifted to the KDA hospital.

Separately, four persons were injured when the car they were travelling in crashed onto an electricity pole and a power transformer fell on it on the Bannu Road. The passersby removed the transformer from the car roof and pulled out the passengers.

Meanwhile, unidentified persons allegedly set on fire harvested wheat crop and husk of a farmer in Gulshakhel village of Lachi tehsil.

TOY GUNS BANNED: The district administration on Monday imposed Section 144, banning sale, purchase and transport of toy guns for Eidul Fitr.

In a statement, district police officer Mohammad Suleman warned that strict action would be taken against shopkeepers selling toy weapons. He also advised parents not to allow their children to buy toy guns to secure a better future for them. He said use of toy guns put a bad impact on the mental health of children.
