TAXILA: A man was shot dead over an old enmity on new Hattain Road in the limits of Attock police station on Monday. Police and hospital sources said that 35-year-old Ahsan Ashraf, a resident of Mehria Town, was going in his car when two persons intercepted him near G.T. Road and showered him with bullets, killing him on the spot and managed to escape.

Later, Rescue 1122 shifted the body to DHQ hospital for autopsy.

Separately, a man drowned in Haro River near Burhan in the limits of Hassanabdal police station, police and rescue sources said. Asif Raza along with his friends went to the river to bathe but drowned.

Later, Rescue 1122 retrieved his body and shifted to THQ hospital Hassanabdal.
