TOBA TEK SINGH: A Faisalabad FIA cyber crime wing team during a raid in Sargodha on Monday arrested two suspects allegedly involved in making objectionable videos of minor children and threatening them to upload the clips on social media.

An FIA official said the suspects uploaded some of the videos on the social media. He said a case under section 22 of Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 had been registered against Obaidur Rehman and Muhammad Hassan and FIA also recovered from their custody mobile phone sets which contained a number of footages of minor children.

No clue: Scores of relatives of three sisters, who were allegedly kidnapped from Qaim Bharwana (Shorkot tehsil) some three months ago, staged on Monday evening a protest demonstration at Tehsil Chowk over failure of police in their recovery.

They told the media that on Jan 17, farmer Khizar Hayat’s three daughters Fauzia (19) Muqaddas (17) and Fatima (9) were kidnapped from their house by five unidentified men. The suspects had bundled them into a goods van and took them.

They added that Waryamwala police had registered a kidnap case against five unidentified men under section 365 B of PPC on the complaint of their brother Junaid Imran.

When contacted, Jhang district police spokesperson Talat Abbas claimed that police had interrogated a number of suspects but no clue could be found so far. He added that Jhang police had written to IGs of all provinces in case girls were found anywhere in their jurisdiction.
