The event that featured a recital of Naats written in Urdu, Persian, Sindhi, and Punjabi was organised by the School of Economics and Social Sciences (SESS) and Department of Social Sciences and Liberal.
The IBA faculty and students recited devotional verses of Mir Taqi Mir and Mirza Asadullah Khan Ghalib and renowned Sindhi poet Maulvi Ahmad Mallah.
Naat-khwan Zara Madani, who is known for her regular singing appearances in Coke Studio Pakistan and film Khuda Ke Liye, recited Surah Ar-Rahman.
The audience appreciated her beautiful original compositions and recitation of ‘Lauh Bhi Tu Qalam Bhi Tu’ and ‘Taazim Se Leta Hai Khuda Naam-i Muhammad’ by Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Khwaja Muhammad Akbar Warsi, respectively.
