Selena Gomez happy to be away from the internet!
Singer and actor Selena Gomez gave up the passwords to her social media accounts more than four years ago so that the internet wouldn’t ruin her joy.
She made the revelation while celebrating the launch of her new platform, Wondermind, during an appearance on Good Morning America.
“I haven’t been on the internet in four-and-a-half years. It has changed my life completely. I am happier, I am more present, I connect more with people. I understand how powerful the internet is, and in so many ways it’s done the best things for the world. But for me, I get to my news that is actually important through the people in my life,” she said.
Selena, who has been candid about her bipolar diagnosis, depression and anxiety, has always been open about her struggles with social media. Earlier she told that social media put her in a “really dangerous” situation.
Hasbro sculpting a playdough movie
An animated Play-Doh movie is on the way! Hasbro, via its eOne arm, is in the works on the animated movie that will be written by Emily V. Gordon (The Big Sick) and directed by Jon Chu (Crazy Rich Asians, In the Heights).
“The team looks forward to bringing the audience a mouldable, pliable, ironically scented story about the importance of imagination,” Chu and Gordon said in a joint statement.
Lance Johnson and Jane Lee from Chu’s Electric Somewhere will oversee the film with eOne’s Jillian Share, Chanel Vidal, and Steven Holster. We have to admit, a film based on Play-Doh was definitely not on our radar.
Live action Beyblade movie
Paramount pictures is working on a live-action movie based on the popular Beyblade toy line.
Super-producer Jerry Bruckheimer is to adapt Beyblade into live-action, and Neil Widener and Gavin James will write the script. But there is no word on a director.
The toy line features different battling tops with names such as Master Diabolos, Heaven Pegasus, and Spryzen. The premise is two players pick their Beyblade and launch them into a Beystadium where they battle it out by slamming into each other.
It was originally launched in Japan from Takara and is licensed by various companies in other countries. Beyblade has crossed over into all types of media, including manga and a popular anime series.
