KARACHI: Two alleged robbers were killed when a citizen drove his car onto their motorcycle as they were fleeing after robbing him off Superhighway on Saturday, said police.

Sachal police SHO Aurangzeb Khattak said that three muggers riding a motorbike intercepted a motorist, Abdul Rahim Soomro, on Jamali Bridge.

They snatched cash and mobile phones from him. As they were fleeing after the robbery, the motorist chased the robbers and rammed his car into their motorbike and ran them over at the U-turn on Superhighway near a famous eatery.

Two of them, identified as Ayub Khan, 22, and Zahid Gul, 20, were killed while their third accomplice managed to escape.

The bodies were taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) to fulfil medico-legal formalities.

The police reached the spot after receiving information and recovered snatched cash, mobile phones, a pistol with a loaded magazine and a motorbike from them.
