RAWALPINDI: The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) immigration staff detained a man on arrival at Islamabad airport from Dubai as he was wanted by Sialkot police in connection with a murder case in 2014.

According to sources, Mohammad Shoaib, was detained by the FIA immigration staff when the immigration process of passengers who had arrived from Dubai on PIA flight PK212 was underway.

The suspect was wanted by the police for being involved in a murder case in the Civil Lines police station area in Sialkot. He was later handed over to a police officer, Mubarak Ali.

Another passenger, Irfan Ali, who had arrived from Abu Dhabi, was also detained by the FIA. He was shifted to the FIA’s passport cell for further legal proceedings.
