DADU: The Model Criminal Trial Court of Dadu on Saturday rejected bail applications of two accused in the infamous triple murder case of Baldai union council chairman Raees Karamullah Chandio along with his two sons, Mukhtiar and Qabil, in an armed attack on their house in Ahmed Colony of Mehar taluka on Jan 17, 2018.

The court had in the previous hearing reserved its order on the bail applications of Sikandar Chandio and Zulfiqar Chandio.

Muhktiar Chandio’s daughter, Umme Rubab, who has been pursuing the case, expressed her satisfaction over the court’s order but also shared her dismay with the media over delay in the dispensation of justice to her family. She said four-and-a-half years have passed but the main trial was yet to begin.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MPA Nawab Sardar Chandio and his brother Nawab Burhan Chandio are facing the charges of being behind the attack allegedly carried out by six of their men, one of whom was killed in the retaliatory fire during the attack. Raees Karamullah Chandio and his family also belong to the PPP.
