KARACHI: The first solar eclipse of year 2022, a partial eclipse, will not be visible from Pakistan, the Pakistan Meteoro­logical Department has said.

The eclipse, which will be visible in the southern parts of South America, Antarctica, and areas in Pacific and Atlantic ocean, will occur at midnight between April 30 and May 1.

According to the PMD, the partial eclipse begins at 23:45 Pakistan Standard Time on April 30 and it will reach its peak at 01:42 PST on May 1, while the phenomenon will end around 03:38 PST on May 1.
