RAWALPINDI: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi on Wednesday announced that the annual exam of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) would begin from May 10.
In a statement, BISE Rawalpindi spokesperson Arsalan Cheema said class 10 examination would start from May 10 and conclude on June 10.
He said the board had set up 388 examination centres across the region to facilitate students. As many as 142 centres are for male students, 139 for female students while 107 are joint examination centres, he added.
A total of 117,796 candidates will appear in the examination, out of whom 60,868 are male and 56,928 female students. All candidates have been issued their roll number slips.
Meanwhile, BISE Rawalpindi Chairman Dr Khalid Mahmood said foolproof arrangements had been made for the annual matriculation exam 2022 and necessary staff had been deployed.
“Chairman squad, special squad and mobile inspectors have been appointed to inspect the examination centres. District level control rooms are also being established in Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal along with Central Control Room in Rawalpindi board,” he said, adding that he was personally supervising all arrangements.
“A letter has been written to every district police officer (DPO) for security arrangements. Police will be deployed in all examination centres with the help of the relevant DPOs,” he added.
