PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Bar Association (PBA) on Friday condemned the unruly protest at the Masjid-i-Nabwi during the visit of members of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s delegation there.

The condemnation came at a meeting chaired by PBA president Ali Zaman Advocate. The participants said respecting the sanctity of Masjid-i-Nabwi was binding on every Muslim, according to a statement issued here.

It said no one was allowed to desecrate a mosque.

Meanwhile, Peshawar lawyers also took out a rally from the high court to protest the unruly scenes at the holy place in Saudi Arabia on Thursday.

Peshawar High Court Bar Association general secretary Qaiser Zaman led the protesters.

The protesters condemned the subjecting of Maryam Aurangzeb and Shahzain Bugti to hooliganism at one of the Islam’s most scared mosques.

They said this act of hooliganism hurt the sentiments of Muslims all over the world.
