LAHORE: As many as 15 goats suffered multiple burn injuries after a massive fire broke out in nearly 150 cattle sheds at Shahpur Kanjran here on Multan Road on Thursday.

Initially, the fire broke out in a few sheds and it spread steadily to nearby 150 others.

There were reports that some of them damaged completely and many others partially.

The witnesses said most of the sheds were housing no cattle at that time when the fire broke out. The reason for the ablaze could not be ascertained.

The Rescue 1122 dispatched several vehicles along with the trained crew who launched an operation. They controlled the ablaze after hectic efforts.

An official of the Rescue 1122 said nearly 15 goats got multiple burns and the crew managed to save others by controlling the blaze timely.

The premises have been handed over to the police for further investigation into the fire incident after completing the rescue operation, he said.
