LAHORE: To counter Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan’s protest drive, the PML-N has also announced seven rallies in Punjab this month.

The rallies will be held in Attock on May 6, Shangla May 7, Swabi May 11, Gujrat May 15, Sargodha May 20, Okara May 23 and in Bahawalpur on May 28.

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz will address these rallies.

The PML-N has taken the decision on the order of its self-exiled leader in London Nawaz Sharif.

The PML-N is of the view that Imran Khan’s protest movement against it’s government could be countered through public rallies where his (Khan) government’s failures and corruption will be highlighted.

Imran Khan is holding first rally on May 6 in Mianwali to kick start his party’s campaign against what he called ‘imported government’.

Khan has given a call to his supporters to reach Islamabad for a sit-in in the last week of this month to force the Shehbaz government to call for fresh elections.
