TAXILA: Three persons were killed and as many injured in different incidents in Wah and Attock on Friday.

In the first incident, a motorcyclist hit Mohammad Raees who was crossing G.T. Road near Chachi Mohallah in the limits of Wah Saddar police station killing him on the spot.

The motorcyclist managed to escape.

A six-year-old girl drowned in Indus River near Attock Khurd.

According to police and rescue sources, Fatmia Riaz along with her family came to the recreational spot from Mardan where during the bath she lost control and drowned.

Later, Rescue 1122 divers retrieved her and shifted her to THQ Hazro where she was declared dead.

Separately, a 20-year-old man took his life in Ikhlas village by swallowing poisonous pills. He was taken to a local hospital where he died.

Three people were critically injured when their car overturned due to speeding on Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway (M-1) near Chach interchange in the limits of Hazro police station.

The injured were shifted to different hospitals in the area.
