MARDAN: The administration of Mardan Medical Complex (MMC) on Friday claimed to have provided medical facilities to 6,934 at the health facility during Eidul Fitr holidays.

According to a report on the performance of hospital, all the departments, including accident and emergency (A&E), surgery, medicine, gynaecology, cardiology, neurosurgery, ENT, radiology, dialysis, Peads, dental, etc remained fully operational during Eidul Fitr.

Medical director Prof Dr Imad Hameed said that as many as 6,934 were examined at the hospital during the festival while a total of 5,684 tests were conducted in the hospital’s lab and 643 patients admitted to its various departments.

He said that 367 people who suffered injuries in road accidents were provided treatment while 162 children were born in the hospital during Eid holidays.

Likewise, X-rays, ultrasound and computerised tomography (CT scan) tests of 2,228 patients were done in the Radiology Department.

He said that the Eid holidays of the medical and supporting staff had been cancelled and a strategy was devised to ensure uninterrupted medical services to the patients.
