Ukrainian sculptor Dmytro Iv spoke to journalists on Friday in front of his monument depicting Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, set in the centre of Kyiv.

On the plate of the monument, which is installed next to the pedestal of a monument to Soviet leader Lenin that was destroyed during the Maidan times, an inscription reads “History knows, war criminals have only two paths — tribunal or… Putler (a perjorative for the Russian president), did you get the hint?”

The sculpture is called “Shoot Yourself” and, in the words of the artist, is self-explanatory.
