A HUGE amount is to be spent on the new Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) project under the new feasibility report which entails a modernisation plan for the revival of 43km track for renewing the old circular train tracks.

All over the world, one finds various modes of travelling, including electric trains. I thank Pakistan Railways which has already started working on the KCR project at several places, and the Frontier Works Oraganisation (FWO) which has been working on the two underpasses in Gulshan-i-Iqbal’s block 13-D/1 near Gilani Railway Station.

The revival of KCR will facilitate the entire population of the metropolitan city, and those facing traffic jams on a daily basis will get relief and reach their destinations on time.

Karachi is a mega city and people from all over the country, especially the businessmen and villagers, pay regular visits to the city. If a modern KCR is available to these visitors, it will be an excellent mode of transportation. In fact, it will also be a source of entertainment for them.
