ISLAMABAD: A teaching hospital of federal capital on Tuesday celebrated its achievement of getting the International Organization for Standardisation (ISO) from the United Kingdom.

Dr Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital (ANTH) has been awarded 9001:2015 Certificate. The event was conducted for the ISO project team and the whole staff of the hospital.

ISO certification has been granted to ANTH on the basis of excellence in services delivery.

Managing Director of the Hospital Yasir Khan Niazi expressed that the achievement was another proof that hospital was the leading hospital in the area and the certification shows commitment towards health delivery.

“Hospital’s decision to obtain ISO certification is yet another indicator of the hospital and Islamabad Medical and Dental College’s commitment to offer full transparency and provide superior quality services to the patients, partners, students, employees and their families,” he said.

Hospital Director retired Col Dr Ghullam Mujtaba Abbasi said that the ISO had brought about a significant reduction in medical errors, patient waiting times, test results and infection rates.

This international certification is a testament to the hospital’s high quality of medical data, and lab, radiology and clinical results.
