MARDAN: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf central vice-president and provincial minister Mohammad Atif Khan claimed here on Thursday that his party would hold the biggest ever public meeting in Mardan district on Friday (today), which would be addressed by party chairman Imran Khan and other central leaders.

Addressing a press conference in Mardan Press Club here, he said that the public meeting would be held at the Railway Station Ground located on Mardan-Nowshera road and all arrangements in this regard had been completed.

On this occasion, Atif Khan was accompanied by other party leaders, including MNA Mujahid Khan, Senator Faisal Saleem Khan, MPAs Zahir Shah Toru, Iftikhar Mashwani, Abdus Salam Afridi, Ameer Farzad, Malik Shaukat, Ravi Kumar and other leaders.

Atif Khan claimed that they were holding public meeting in the district to mobilise the PTI activists for ‘Islamabad March’

which would continue till announcement of general elections in the country.

“Imported government is unacceptable. Pakistan is a sovereign country and we will not take any dictation from America,” he said.

He asked the incumbent rulers to announce holding of fresh general elections in the country before arrival of their march in Islamabad.

He claimed that Imran Khan was bringing over two million people to the capital to force the government for the poll announcement.

Later, Atif Khan administered oath to the newly-elected cabinet of Mardan Press Club.

The new office-bearers included president Musarat Khan Aasi, vice-president Falak Sher, general secretary Imran Younas, finance secretary Pervaz Khan Afridi and joint secretary Faqir Hussain.
