SWAT: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan said here on Thursday that unlike his predecessors who focused on their respective districts he was ensuring uniform development of the province. He said that he worked day and night to put the province on the path of sustainable development.
The chief minister said this while addressing a public meeting and local bar association in Matta tehsil during his visit to Swat. Former federal minister Murad Saeed and Provincial Minister Mohibullah Khan were also in attendance.
Mahmood Khan said if the ‘imported prime minister’ deposited the amount obtained through money laundering in the national treasury then everything in the country would become cheaper.
He claimed that whatever happened in the country was clear to everyone as the elected government was removed through an ‘external conspiracy’.
Invites people of Swat to join PTI’s ‘Azadi March’
“It is high time for the nation to support Imran Khan for the sake of our coming generations,” he said, adding, “We are an independent country, but unfortunately our future decisions are being made in England.”
Talking about the prime minister’s recent visit to KP, he said that Shehbaz Sharif should take care of the people of Punjab as PTI had already extended free healthcare facilities to people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“Shehbaz Sharif should complete the healthcare programme started by the PTI government in Punjab,” he said.
The chief minister said that the KP people had always stood by Imran Khan and they would play a leading role in the movement for ‘real freedom’ of the country.
He said the purpose of his visit to Swat was to invite the people to participate in the proposed ‘Azadi March’.
“I will lead the rally of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and millions of people from the province will reach Islamabad,” he claimed.
He asked the lawyer community to fully support his party’s march on Islamabad.
During his daylong visit to Swat district, the chief minister formally inaugurated three newly-completed development projects, including the building of tehsil complex Matta, Girls Degree College, Kharerai, and Burns and Trauma Centre at THQ Hospital, Matta.
