Life gives us various opportunities but, unfortunately, only a few of them are availed. Sometimes, even if we desire to avail all the great opportunities, we are unable to do due to some obstacles.

Nobody would like to go for something they do not want to and everyone looks forward to doing what they love. However, society sometimes does not cooperate and disagrees with our plans. Many youngsters are forced towards choosing what they had never wanted to choose but they have to, due to societal pressure. Parents as well, sometimes disapprove of what they like doing, which can pressurise children to go towards something which they had never dreamt of.

Respecting your parent’s choice is something rare nowadays, but destroying your plans and dreams will never comfort you enough to live a happy life. Parents also need to understand their children and guide them in the best manner and train them to be a leader and not a follower. They must support their ideas and advise them correctly.

For instance, it can be confusing for students to choose their fields in Grade IX and some people pick what they think they desire, while the others are pressurised to pick what they do not even want to, either because they are not sure of what they actually want to do or because of their parent’s disapproval of their ideas. Such students are unaware of the regret they will feel later on in their lives.

Going for what you love and not for what the society wants can lead you to great success in life. Your ambitions and enthusiasm matter and they take you very far in life. Even if you fail in your way, take that as a lesson and learn from it. Success can only be earned through dedication and hard work. Work hard for what you love and stay positive through every up and down in life.
