TAXILA: Three persons died in several incidents in different parts of Taxila and Attock on Friday.

In the first incident, the body of a woman in her 30s was found along Islamabad- Peshawar motorway (M-1) near Nartopa village in the jurisdiction of Hazro police station. Police said a passerby spotted the body which was shifted to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital for autopsy, adding there were multiple bullet wounds on her face, so much so, that she was not identifiable. When contacted, Sub Divisional Police Officer Mohammad Iqbal said that finger prints of the victim were obtained and submitted to the Nadra for identification.

Separately, a 25-year-old man drowned in Ghazi Barotha water channel. According to police and Rescue 1122 officials, the victim was identified as Naseer Gull, a resident of village Babuneyar. Later, rescue officials retrieved his body and shifted it to THQ Hospital.

Furthermore, a nine-year-old boy died after being hit by a car on Grand Trunk Road near Ahmednagar.

Police, while quoting eyewitnesses, said that the boy was crossing the road when the accident happened.

The driver of the vehicle was able to escape.

Moreover, four people were abducted in three different incidents within the jurisdiction of Taxila police station.

In the first incident, Shahnaz Begum reported to police that her daughter went to the market along with her minor child where she was abducted by unknown persons. Zubair Mehmood informed police that his wife was abducted by unknown persons from her house.

Moreover, Adil Basheer reported to police that his brother Amir Basheer was going to his house after closing his shop when he was abducted by unknown persons. Respective police registered separate cases and started further investigation.
