QUETTA: Balochistan Awami Party president Jam Kamal Khan Alyani, who has submitted a no-confidence motion against BAP’s Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo, has warned the party legislators that they will face action under Article 63-A of Constitution if they don’t attend the assembly session when the no-trust resolution is tabled in the house.

In a notice issued to the party’s MPAs on Saturday, Mr Alyani, who held the CM office before Mr Bizenjo, told the members that they would face constitutional action if they did not follow his directives.

The notice recalled that the BAP had submitted the no-trust resolution along with other parties under Article 136 against CM Bizenjo. It asked all the members of BAP to cast their vote in support of the motion.

The no-trust motion was signed by 14 members, including Mr Alyani, Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind of PTI, Asghar Khan Achakzai, parliamentary party leader of ANP and two ministers of the Bizenjo-led cabinet, advisers and parliamentary securities. Interestingly, no member from the opposition parties such as JUI-F, BNP-Mengal and PkMAP has signed the motion. In October 2021, a no-trust motion was moved against the then CM Alyani. However, before voting on the motion he resigned from the office.

CM Bizenjo has announced that he is ready to face the no-trust motion, terming it part of democracy and politics.

However, he has sacked all those ministers, advisers and parliamentary leaders who have signed the no-trust resolution against him.
