SWAT: Tourists from the country and abroad should visit the blue water spot as the site offers not only dazzling natural scenes, but also a serene environment and pleasant weather, said visitors and nature lovers here while sharing their views with this correspondent about the landscape and serenity of blue water in Anakar Valley of Kalam.
They said that majority of the tourists visited known sites of Swat such as Malam Jabba, Madyan, Bahrain and Kalam, but they did not know various scenic spots scattered around Kalam Valley.
“I am amazed to see the blue water site which is just about four kilometres from Kalam. The blue water flows from Kooh Lake and runs through Anakar valley, providing a serene place to tourists,” said Dr Faisal Saeed, a tourist who visited the site with his friends.
The tourists said that the calm valley was surrounded by mountains covered with trees.
“I love to sit on charpoys placed in the shallow part of blue water river here with the cool glacial water flowing underneath,” said Abdul Basit, another tourist who enjoyed the serenity of the spot.
The tourists said the site was located at a short distance from Kalam and could be accessed through a car or other vehicle.
“I suggest that the tourists should hike from the main road leading to Utror as a cool stream of blue water is running along the track and people can enjoy other beautiful sites with trees and mountains on both sides,” said Amjad Ali, a tourist who hiked to the site with his group.
Other tourists said it was a perfect camping site too.
“It is a verdant valley with steep mountain cliffs and lush green landscape,” said Iqbal Ahmad, a tourist from Lahore.
The tourists said the blue water spot also served as a base camp for several lakes, including Kooh or Andrab lake, Mastij lake and Janshai Banda.
