OKARA: The University of Okara’s Security Wing in collaboration with law-enforcement agencies organised a mock exercise in a bid to prepare the security personnel to cope up with any emergency situation.

The drill was led by university’s security officer Nobahar Khan. A number of students, teachers and the security staff participated in the exercise and learned how to respond actively in any untoward situation.

Regarding this drill, Nuobahar said: “This is a big academic campus of more than 20,000 students and we are keen to enhance capacity and skills of our essential security staff so that any emergency situation can be handled well. The purpose of this mock exercise is to evaluate our capability and to prepare ourselves for managing any disaster state.”

Along with this, the UO’s Security Wing has been continuously engaged with the local Rescue 1122 officials in order to hold training and awareness sessions for the guards and other necessary staff.
