MUZAFFARGARH: Services of Govt High School, Khar Gharbi, headmaster have been placed at the disposal of south Punjab education secretary for his failure to report a `sensitive’ matter to his high-ups.

Headmaster Shiraz Akbar, with the approval of the school council and an inquiry committee, expelled an 8th class for bullying a 7th student and destroyed a smart phone recovered from him (since school students are not supposed to bring cell phones with them).

In its report, the inquiry committee held that the conduct of of the expelled student was not appropriate with other students as well.

After a few days, the family of the 7th student lodged an FIR against the headmaster and sought recovery of cell phone which contained the video of rape of their son by the expelled student.

The family also demanded recovery of the rape clip. District education officer Mohammed Akbar Bukhari said headmaster Sheraz Akbar had been told to report to the education secretary since he had failed to report the matter to the education CEO Tariq Habib Faroogi.

He said the family of the 7th student had lodged the FIR with the Sanawan police after a meeting with DPO Tariq Willayat. He said the education secretary would now order an inquiry into the case.
